Hearing Simulation Exercise

1) Please remove the speakers from the computer, or turn them off. Also remove headphones if you are using them and make sure no sound can be heard from the computer. Then watch the following video: "I love Chicago".

Now answer the following questions:

1. Where is the town Saginaw?
2. What types of buildings are there in Chicago?
3. Who is Sophia?
4. Which town does Chicago remind the speaker of?
5. How many times has the speaker gone to Chicago?

Now connect the speakers, turn them on; or the headphones and answer the above questions again. The answers are as follows:

1. Michigani.
2. Tall and architectural buildings.
3. The speaker's childhood friend.
4. Buenos Aires, the hometown of the speaker.
5. 6 times in 3 months.

Basically a hearing impaired student cannot know the answers, as you couldn't the first time because there is no text caption from which to get the information. In this way you know it is necessary to provide an alternative way of reading a video in this case, or any other material so it is accessible by students who are hearing impaired.
